Bank loans to foreign investors

Hi Guys,

I am glad I found this website. I am based in Sweden and interested in Investing in Nigerian Agriculture. Can anyone give me details about obtaining bank loans in Nigeria?

Hi Bwilliams,

I suppose contacting the head office of major banks like Zenith or First Bank will be a good starting point. I know that the government through the Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme(ACGS) offers guarantees on agricultural loans(FYI:the food crops sub-sector gets the most share), though 'am not aware of their policy on foreign based companies. Your best strategy will be to contact a State Government to help facilitate your agric loans. (FYI:Northern states do most of Nigeria's farming. Hope this little helps .
